PROGRAMS We Offer
DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
The Development Squad is designed for young athletes who already demonstrate sound movement skills, athletic potential and a genuine commitment to improving their performance.
This is not a general fitness group or an introduction-to-running program. Athletes should already be able to participate confidently in structured sprint, agility, jumping and strength-based activities and be willing to listen, learn and train with purpose.
The program develops the qualities required across athletics, AFL, netball, basketball and other running-based sports, including:
Acceleration and sprint mechanics
Maximum-velocity running
Agility and change of direction
Coordination, rhythm and body control
Plyometric and landing foundations
Strength, mobility and injury-resilience work
Confidence, discipline and training habits
Sessions follow a progressive, age-appropriate framework. Athletes are taught how to move efficiently, apply force, control their bodies and gradually tolerate higher levels of speed and training.
The long-term goal of the Development Squad is to prepare suitable athletes to progress into the Elite Performance Squad.
PERFORMANCE SQUAD
The Performance Squad is a selective high-performance program for established athletes who want to take their speed, strength and overall athletic performance to the next level.
It is designed for competitive track athletes and high-level field or court athletes, including AFL, netball and basketball players, who already possess a strong athletic foundation and are ready for more advanced coaching and greater training expectations.
The program combines:
Advanced acceleration and sprint development
Maximum-velocity mechanics and exposure
Event- and sport-specific speed work
Agility, deceleration and change of direction
Plyometric and reactive-strength development
Individualised strength and conditioning
Mobility, prehabilitation and functional armour
Performance testing, monitoring and progression
Competition preparation and tapering
The aim is not simply to make athletes fitter. The aim is to identify performance limitations, improve movement quality and develop the physical qualities that transfer directly to competition.
Athletes are expected to train consistently, accept coaching, maintain high technical standards and contribute positively to the squad environment.
CAN I JOIN?
Entry is through application, assessment and, where required, a selection trial.
Selection is based on athletic readiness, movement competency, training history, commitment and suitability for this type of environment. Meeting an age requirement alone does not guarantee entry.
Squad numbers are deliberately limited to approximately 10–12 athletes so coaching quality, feedback and individual development are protected.
